SERVICE AREAS

Daily Brisbane metro coverage, South East Queensland reach, regional services, and interstate connections.

Our Service Areas

F&T Freight operates from our Kingston QLD depot with coverage extending throughout South East Queensland, regional Queensland, and interstate to all Australian state capitals. Our service network is designed to provide reliable freight connectivity between Queensland businesses and their customers, suppliers, and distribution points wherever they are located.

Our core strength is in the South East Queensland corridor where we operate daily services and maintain the highest frequency of vehicle movements. Beyond this core zone, we extend our reach through scheduled regional services and interstate linehaul connections that link Queensland with the rest of Australia.

Regional and Remote Delivery Considerations

Delivering freight to regional and remote Queensland locations presents unique challenges including longer distances, limited road infrastructure, and fewer service frequency options. F&T Freight manages these challenges through careful planning and experienced regional drivers who understand the conditions of outback roads and the requirements of rural receivers.

For regional consignments, we advise clients to allow additional transit time compared to metropolitan services. Weather events — particularly during the wet season in North Queensland — can occasionally affect road access and transit times. We monitor road conditions proactively and communicate any anticipated delays before they impact your delivery schedule.

Remote area surcharges may apply to destinations significantly beyond our standard service zones. These surcharges reflect the additional fuel, time, and vehicle wear associated with long-distance regional deliveries. We always advise of any applicable surcharges at the quotation stage so there are no unexpected costs.

How Our Network Connects

F&T Freight's service network operates on a hub-and-spoke model with our Kingston depot serving as the central hub. Freight is consolidated at our depot and dispatched on the most efficient route to its destination — whether that is a direct delivery within Brisbane, a scheduled linehaul departure to a regional centre, or an interstate connection to Sydney or Melbourne.

This hub model allows us to offer frequent services on high-demand corridors while still maintaining reach to less-trafficked destinations. For businesses shipping to multiple locations across our network, the hub-and-spoke system means all your freight can be collected in a single pickup and then distributed across the network from our central point — simplifying your logistics process significantly.

Service Areas — Common Questions

Do you deliver to all Queensland postcodes?

We service the majority of Queensland postcodes through a combination of our own fleet and trusted partner carriers. Some very remote locations may require additional transit time or incur a remote area surcharge. Contact us with your specific postcode and we will confirm availability, transit time, and pricing.

How often do you service regional areas?

Service frequency varies by region. Sunshine Coast, Gold Coast, and Toowoomba receive daily services. Larger regional centres (Rockhampton, Mackay, Bundaberg) have 2-3 services per week. North Queensland (Townsville, Cairns) operates on scheduled weekly departures. Additional services can be arranged for urgent requirements.

Are there surcharges for remote deliveries?

Deliveries to locations significantly beyond our standard service zones may attract a remote area surcharge to cover additional fuel, time, and vehicle costs. We always advise of any applicable surcharges at the quotation stage — there are never unexpected charges on your invoice. Metropolitan and major regional centre deliveries do not attract surcharges.

Can you deliver to construction sites and rural properties?

Yes. We regularly deliver to construction sites, farming properties, mine sites, and other non-standard locations. For such deliveries, we need accurate site access information including road conditions, gate codes, site contacts, and any vehicle size restrictions. Our drivers are experienced in navigating challenging delivery locations safely.

Do you offer interstate delivery from Queensland?

Yes. Our interstate network connects Brisbane with Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, and Perth via scheduled linehaul services. Interstate consignments are collected from anywhere in our Queensland service area and transported to the destination city for local delivery. See our Interstate Freight page for full details on routes and transit times.
